The active ingredient of this medicine, Phytonadione, is also called vitamin K1 which is involved in synthesis of normal blood coagulation factors in the liver, and expresses physiological hemostatic action. This medicine treats bleeding and bleeding tendency attributed to vitamin K deficiency.
It is usually used to prevent and treat hypoprothrombinemia developed during administration of medicines, impaired vitamin K absorption associated with biliary tract or gastrointestinal disorder, hypoprothrombinemia in newborn infants and hypoprothrombinemia associated with liver disorder, and to treat bleeding suspected of vitamin K deficiency.

Usage/Dosage

In general, for adults, take 1 to 3 tablets (5 to 15 mg of the active ingredient); for prevention of bleeding in newborn infants, expectant mothers take 2 tablets (10 mg); for hypoprothrombinemia developed during administration of medicines, impaired vitamin K absorption associated with biliary tract or gastrointestinal disorder or hypoprothrombinemia associated with liver disorder, take 4 to 10 tablets (20 to 50 mg), in several divided doses. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
