How to measure the sample
(1) Preparation
① Wash your hands and the measurement site with soap and warm water and dry them completely.
② Insert the sensor insertion part into the meter. The meter will turn on when the sensor is inserted.
If you are using a dedicated meter other than the Nipro FreeStyle Sensor Light, make sure that the code number displayed on the meter matches the code number printed on the container of this product. If the code numbers do not match, be sure to change the code number by referring to the meter's instruction manual.
(2) Confirmation
① When the blood collection mark appears on the meter screen, use the lancing tool to puncture the measurement site and collect blood.
② Gently touch the blood to either blood intake part of the sensor and allow it to be inhaled. The amount of blood required for measurement is 0.3 µL. If the amount of blood is too small to start the measurement, allow the blood to be inhaled again into the same intake part within 60 seconds.
Do not inhale from both sides of the sensor.
Do not apply blood to any part of the sensor other than the blood intake part.
③ When blood is drawn into the sensor, if the volume setting is on, a beep will sound and a dashed line will appear on the screen.
(3) Display of results
① The measurement result will be displayed on the meter screen. If the volume setting is on, a beep will sound.
This product is calibrated to display a value equivalent to the glucose level in plasma, allowing easy comparison with the results of measurements taken by laboratory equipment.

Precautions for Use
・Do not use a sensor that has passed its expiration date. Accurate results may not be obtained. Check the expiration date on the container of this product.
・To obtain accurate results, use the sensor at temperatures between 4-40°C and relative humidity between 5-90% (no condensation).
・Discard any sensor that has passed the expiration date printed on the container.
・Do not allow blood to be drawn into the blood intake section on either side of the sensor during measurement. Accurate measurement results may not be obtained.
・The sensor can only be used once. Do not reuse. Discard the used sensor.
・When removing the sensor from the container or inserting it into the measuring device, handle any part of the sensor with clean, dry hands and with care.
・Use the sensor immediately after removing it from the container.
・After removing the sensor from the container, immediately replace the lid and close it tightly.
・Do not bend, cut, or modify the sensor.
・If the thermometer symbol appears, this indicates that the meter is outside the operating temperature range. Do not perform a measurement. If the thermometer symbol appears with the measurement result, remeasurement is required. Move the meter and sensor to a location with the appropriate operating temperature range and perform the measurement again with a new sensor.
・ Always perform blood glucose measurements within the operating temperature range specified in the instruction manual for the meter being used.
・ To obtain accurate measurement results, perform control measurements when the Nipro glucose control solution is within the range of 15 to 40°C.
・ If the control measurement results are outside the control solution appropriate range printed on the container of this product, the meter and sensor may not be functioning properly. If the control measurement results are outside the control solution appropriate range, do not use the meter and sensor. Contact our customer service center (TEL +81 (0) 120-834-226).
・ There is no effect on the measurement results up to an altitude of 3,048 meters.
