This medicine is a phenothiazine antihistamine/antiparkinsonian medicine, which suppresses allergic symptoms and symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It depresses central nerve system, etc., and has anesthetic/sleep enhancement effects and antipyretic/analgesic/antiemetic actions.
It is usually used in the treatment of shaking palsy, parkinsonism, allergic rhinitis, itch associated with skin diseases (eczema/dermatitis, cutaneous pruritus, drug eruption and toxicodermia), hives, sneezing/nasal discharge/coughing associated with cold, motion sickness, hayfever and vasomotor edema. It is also used in anesthetic premedication and artificial (drug-induced) hibernation.

Usage/Dosage

For shaking palsy and parkinsonism: In general, for adults, take 1 to 8 tablets (25 to 200 mg of the active ingredient) per day, in several divided doses.
For other conditions: In general, for adults, take 5 to 25 mg of the active ingredient per day, in 1 to 3 divided doses.
In any case, the dosage should be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. This product contains 25 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

If you are a patient with glaucoma, obstructive disease in lower urinary tract such as enlarged prostate.

This medicine may cause drowsiness. Avoid operating machinery with potential risk, or driving a car.
Drinking alcohol may intensify drowsiness, etc.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include drowsiness, thirstiness, headache, rash, photosensitivity, hepatic disorder, sweating and dizziness. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
stiffness in muscles, tachycardia, fever[malignant syndrome]
(when administered to children) sudden death, pauses in breathing during sleeping[sudden infant death syndrome, episodes of infant sleep apnea]
