      This medicine dilates the bronchi to allow easier breathing.
      It is usually used to improve symptoms (breathing difficulty, etc.) of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, or pulmonary emphysema.

      It is usually used to improve symptoms (breathing difficulty, etc.) of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, or pulmonary emphysema.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, inhale 0.3 to 0.5 mL (30 to 50 mcg of active ingredient), and for children, inhale 0.1 to 0.3 mL (10 to 30 mcg of active ingredient) at a time by using the nebulizer while taking a deep breath. The dosage may be adjusted according to age or symptoms. This medicine contains 0.3 mL per unit. Strictly follow the inhaling procedures as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.
      Follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist and carefully read the Guidance for Proper Use of Meptin Inhalation Solution 0.3 mL and 0.5 mL Unit-doses (Japanese only) before use.
      Always gargle after inhaling this medicine.
      Never put the medicine in the eyes or drink it.
      This medicine must only be used with the nebulizer.
      As this medicine is for single-use only, open the unit-dose ampules immediately before use and use the entire contents of a unit-dose ampule at one time.
      Never inhale 2 doses at one time.
      If you accidentally use more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. Excessive use of this medicine may cause arrhythmia or cardiac arrest. Special care should therefore be taken not to exceed the recommended dose of this medicine at the time of asthmatic episodes.
      Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from light and heat.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include palpitation, tachycardia, increase in blood pressure, hot flush, tremor, headache/dull headache, numbness of hands, dizziness, nausea/vomiting and abnormal tracheal or pharyngo-laryngeal sensation. If any of these symptoms occurs, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

      facial pallor, cold sweat, dizziness on standing up[shock]
      swelling around the eyes or mouth, hives, respiratory distress[anaphylaxis]
      lassitude, respiratory distress, dry mouth[serious decrease in serum potassium]
