  • Description
      This medicine is a tetracycline antibiotic and shows antibacterial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis of bacteria.
      It is usually used to treat wide range infections such as dermatological infections, respiratory infections and otorhinological infections.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine is a tetracycline antibiotic and shows antibacterial effect by inhibiting protein synthesis of bacteria.
      It is usually used to treat wide range infections such as dermatological infections, respiratory infections and otorhinological infections.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults take 1 capsule [250 mg (titer) of the active ingredient] at a time, for children take 7.5 mg (titer) of the active ingredient /kg of the body weight at a time, 4 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. This preparation contains 250 mg (titer) of the active ingredient in a capsule. Strictly follow the instructions.
      This medicine may cause transient bone hypoplasia and tooth staining/enamel aplasia in fetus and children (especially under 8 years old). It should be used only if other medicine can not be used or is ineffective.
      This medicine may be used for therapeutically necessary minimum term to prevent the expression of resistant bacteria.
      Take this medicine with a lot of water and pay attention to taking just before bedtime, since the medicine may cause esophageal ulcer if the capsule remaining in esophagus disintegrates.
      If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as possible when you noticed. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have: liver disorder, renal disorder or esophageal transit disorder.
      If you are in a condition of: poor oral ingestion, parenteral nutrition or poor general status.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include fever, rash, hives, symptoms with increased intracranial pressure (vomit, headache, double vision, etc.), photosensitivity, loss of appetite and vitamin K deficiency symptoms (bleeding tendency, etc.). If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
