It also expands blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrition to the heart to improve and prevent chest pain.
It is usually used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris.

Usage/Dosage

General dosage is as follows.
●For hypertension:
For adults, take 2.5 to 5 mg of amlodipine at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms. If its effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased up to 10 mg, once a day.
●For angina pectoris:
For adults, take 5 mg of amlodipine at a time, once a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.
This medicine contains 10 mg of amlodipine in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose and have hypertension, do not take the missed dose on that day and follow your regular dosing schedule from the following day. If you have angina pectoris, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Storage conditions and other information:
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. (Store away from light and use the tablet as soon as possible after split it.)
Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask your pharmacy or medical institution on how to discard the remainder.

Contraindication

●The most commonly reported adverse reactions are following symptoms. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- liver dysfunction, edema, hot flush (sensation of heat/flushing of the face), palpitation, decreased blood pressure, dizziness/light headedness, headache/dull headache, epigastric pain, constipation, nausea/vomiting, rash, itch, hives, photosensitivity, erythema multiforme, vasculitis, angioedema, gingival hypertrophy and general malaise
●The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- general malaise, loss of appetite, yellow discoloration of the skin and the white of eyes [fulminant hepatitis, liver dysfunction, jaundice]
- fever, sore throat, bleeding tendency [agranulocytosis, decreased white blood cell, decreased platelets]
- bradycardia, dizziness, syncope [atrioventricular block]
- muscle pain, lassitude, reddish brown urine [rhabdomyolysis]
Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
