  • Description
      This medicine improves skin symptoms by suppressing the growth of herpes viruses as cause of illness. It is usually used to treat herpes zoster and herpes simplex.
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine improves skin symptoms by suppressing the growth of herpes viruses as cause of illness. It is usually used to treat herpes zoster and herpes simplex.
  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, apply or spread appropriate amount to the affected area, once to 4 times a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
      Before applying this ointment, wash your hands thoroughly.
      In case of applying directly: Apply only to the affected area. Do not rub but spread this ointment gently. If instructed, cover with gauze and affix with tape.
      In case of using a gauze: Take appropriate amount of ointment on the gauze and evenly spread with your fingers. Apply the gauze to the affected area and affix with tape.
      For re-applying, do not wipe the leftover ointment on the affected area and apply new ointment directly.
      When applied to the external genitalia, re-apply the ointment after every toilet use.
      Not for ophthalmic or intraoral use.
      If you miss a dose, apply a dose as soon as possible when you noticed. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should not apply two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      This medicine may degrade or damage contraceptive latex rubber products such as condoms. Avoid contact with these products.
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include contact dermatitis, stimulating feeling and itch. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
