  • Description
      This medicine decreases blood pressure, prevents or alleviates angina attack, and controls tachyarrhythmia (disturbed pulse) by blocking α/β-receptors. It also relieves shivering of hands, etc., through β2-blocking activity in the skeletal muscle.
      It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina pectoris, tachyarrhythmia and essential tremor.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine decreases blood pressure, prevents or alleviates angina attack, and controls tachyarrhythmia (disturbed pulse) by blocking α/β-receptors. It also relieves shivering of hands, etc., through β2-blocking activity in the skeletal muscle.
      It is usually used to treat essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina pectoris, tachyarrhythmia and essential tremor.
  • Usage/Dosage
      For essential hypertension (mild to moderate), angina pectoris, tachyarrhythmia: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, twice a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to the disease, age or symptoms. If the effect is insufficient, the dosage may be increased up to 6 tablets (30 mg) a day.
      For essential tremor: In general, for adults, start by taking 2 tablets (10 mg of the active ingredient) a day. If the effect is insufficient, take 2 tablets (10 mg) at a time, twice a day, as the maintenance dose. The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms, but it should not exceed 6 tablets (30 mg) a day.
      In any case, strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose: If you are taking this medicine for treatment or prevention of angina pectoris, take the missed dose as soon as possible, and then follow your regular dosing schedule.
      If you are taking this medicine for treatment of other diseases, take the missed dose when you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
      In any case, you should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you have heart disease (bradycardia, atrioventricular block, sinoatrial block, sick sinus syndrome, cardiogenic shock, cardiac failure due to pulmonary hypertension, congestive heart failure), diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, bronchial asthma, bronchospasm or untreated pheochromocytoma.
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      This medicine may cause dizziness/light headedness. Pay close attention when operating dangerous machinery, such as driving a car (especially in the early phase).
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness/light headedness, lassitude/malaise, rash, hives, itch and burning sensation. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
