This medicine decreases blood uric acid level by suppressing uric acid production in the body.
It is usually used to improve hyperuricemia in gout or hypertension accompanied with hyperuricemia.
Usage/Dosage
〇 General dosage:
● For adults, take 4 to 6 tablets (200 to 300 mg of the active ingredient) a day in 2 to 3 divided doses after meals.
● It should be adjusted according to your disease, age and symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
〇 Gout attack (pain) may be temporarily intensified when you start taking the medicine. However, do not adjust the dose or stop taking this medicine without permission of your doctor or pharmacist. If such symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
〇 If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
〇 If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
〇 Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Cautions
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
If you have hepatic disorder or have a history of it.
If you have renal function disorder.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Try to drink plenty of fluids to increase urine volume unless you have heart/renal disorder.

Contraindication
● The most commonly reported adverse reactions are following symptoms . If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
- rash, itch, joint pain, anemia, purpura, lymphadenopathy, abnormality in renal function, loss of appetite, gastric distress, loose stool, diarrhea, general malaise and loss of hair
● The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
- fever, general malaise, erythema [toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, exfoliative dermatitis, serious skin disorder such as hypersensitivity syndrome, hypersensitivity angiitis]
- respiratory distress, swelling of face/throat, hives [shock, anaphylactoid symptoms]
- anemic symptoms, subcutaneous/submucosal bleeding, fever [aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia]
- general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes [serious hepatic function disorder such as fulminant hepatitis, jaundice]
- general malaise, decreased urine output, swelling [renal failure, deterioration in renal failure, renal disorder including interstitial nephritis]
