This medicine stimulates muscarinic receptors on the salivary gland, and promotes salivation.
It is usually used for improvement of oral dryness in the patients with Sjogren's syndrome.

Usage/Dosage
-
In general, for adults, take one capsule (30 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, 3 times daily, after meals. Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT take double doses to make up for the missed dose.
If you took too much of the medicine (more than prescribed), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
Do not stop taking the medicine without the instructions of your doctor.

Cautions

If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicine.
If you are a patient with ischemic heart disease (myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, etc.), bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, gastrointestinal obstruction, urinary bladder neck obstruction, epilepsy, Parkinsonian syndrome, Parkinson's disease, or iritis.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
The medicine may cause miosis. Pay close attention when you drive a car during the evening, or operate dangerous machinery in a dark place.
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store it away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture (this medicine is hygroscopic).
Discard the remainder. Do not store them.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, salivary gland pain, salivary gland hypertrophy, palpitation, frequent urination, hyperhidrosis, headache, chest pain, malaise, etc. If any of these symptoms occur,check with your doctor/pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
fever, dry cough, breathing difficulty [exacerbation of interstitial pneumonia]
