  • Description
      This medicine exhibits vasodepressor and antihypertensive effects by α1-blocking activity in addition to beta-blocking activity. It maintains and decreases vascular resistance to improve heart pump function and consequently provides sufficient blood flow to the body.
      It is usually used to treat essential/renal parenchymal hypertension, angina, and arrhythmia (tachycardiac atrial fibrillation).

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine exhibits vasodepressor and antihypertensive effects by α1-blocking activity in addition to beta-blocking activity. It maintains and decreases vascular resistance to improve heart pump function and consequently provides sufficient blood flow to the body.
      It is usually used to treat essential/renal parenchymal hypertension, angina, and arrhythmia (tachycardiac atrial fibrillation).
  • Usage/Dosage
      For treatment of essential hypertension (mild to moderate), and renal parenchymal hypertension: In general, for adults, take 1/2 to 1 tablet (10 to 20mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms.
      For treatment of angina: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (20 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms.
      For treatment of tachycardiac atrial fibrillation: In general, for adults, start with 5 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. If the effect is insufficient, this dose will be increased to 10 mg or to 20 mg step by step, at a time, once a day. The dose may be adjusted according to your age and symptom, and maximum dose should not exceed 20 mg at a time, once a day.
      Each tablet contains 20 mg of the active ingredient. In any case strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
      If you have: bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, diabetic ketoacidosis, metabolic acidosis, arrhythmia, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, right-sided heart failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension, untreated pheochromocytoma, long fasting state, malnutrition, disorders in liver/kidney, peripheral circulatory disorder or hypotension.
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness, general malaise, drowsiness, headache, bradycardia, drop in blood pressure, rash, asthma-like symptoms, and nausea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.

      shortness of breath, dizziness, loss of consciousness, facial pallor, cold sweat, lightheadedness[severe bradycardia, shock, complete atrioventricular block, heart failure, cardiac arrest]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin/white of eyes[liver dysfunction, jaundice]
      general malaise, decreased urine output, swollen limbs/face[acute renal failure]
      fever, general malaise, rash on the skin/eyes and in mouth[toxic epidermal necrosis, oculomucocutaneous syndrome]
      respiratory distress, lightheadedness, swelling around eyes/lips[anaphylaxis]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
