This medicine is a thyroid hormone preparation and replaces thyroid hormone which is deficient due to thyroid disorder or a surgery.
It is usually used in the treatment of hypothyroidism (primary or hypophyseal), myxedema, cretinism, and goiter.

Usage/Dosage

● General dosage
- For adults, take 25 to 400 μg of levothyroxine sodium at a time, once daily.
- In general, start with taking 25 to 100 μg and the dose will be increased gradually.
- However, the maintenance dose is 100 to 400 μg at a time, once daily.
- The dosage may be adjusted according to the age or symptoms.
● This preparation contains 12.5 μg of levothyroxine sodium in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
● If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
● If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
● Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
