This medicine inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and exhibits antibacterial activity by inhibiting the production of RNA synthetase. It eradicates methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in the nasal cavity by intranasal application.
It is usually used to prevent the development of disease in infected patients and transmission by eradicating MRSA through administration of this medicine to immune-compromised patients (compromised patients) with MRSA in their nasal cavities, inpatients who cannot be isolated from compromised patients, and health-care professionals who have contact with compromised patients.

Usage/Dosage

In general, apply an appropriate amount (adzuki bean-sized) of this medicine in the both nasal cavities 3 times a day. Strictly follow the instructions.
Take an adzuki bean-sized amount of this medicine from the tube using the tip of cotton swab, apply it in one nasal cavity, and apply the same amount in the other. Next, massage the wings of the nose to spread this medicine evenly after application.
If you have nasal discharge, apply this medicine after blowing your nose.
Do not apply this medicine to areas other than nasal cavity (boil, eczema, bedsore, etc). Especially, avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not share the same tube with others.
Take measures to prevent MRSA infection, such as gargling and hand-wash.
If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose as soon as possible. Then continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never apply two doses at one time.
If you accidentally apply more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop applying this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
