      This medicine neutralizes gastric acid by antacid effect in the stomach. It also suppresses water reabsorption in the gut, expands intestinal contents, and gives mechanical stimulation to the intestine, consequently promoting defecation.
      It is usually used for antacid and improvement of the symptoms in gastric/duodenal ulcer, gastritis, upper gastrointestinal dysfunction. It is also used to treat constipation and to prevent calcium oxalate urolithiasis development.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine neutralizes gastric acid by antacid effect in the stomach. It also suppresses water reabsorption in the gut, expands intestinal contents, and gives mechanical stimulation to the intestine, consequently promoting defecation.
      It is usually used for antacid and improvement of the symptoms in gastric/duodenal ulcer, gastritis, upper gastrointestinal dysfunction. It is also used to treat constipation and to prevent calcium oxalate urolithiasis development.
  • Usage/Dosage
      Antacid effect: In general, for adults, 0.5 to 1.0 g of the active ingredient in several divided doses a day.
      Laxative effect: In general, for adults, 2 g in 3 divided doses a day before or after meals, or once before bedtime.
      Prevention of calcium oxalate urolithiasis development: In general, for adults, take 0.2 to 0.6 g of the active ingredient a day with plenty of water.
      In any case, the dosage may be adjusted according to your age and symptoms. This preparation contains 0.33 g of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have: renal disorder, cardiac dysfunction, diarrhea or hypermagnesemia.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      Do not drinking together, as large amount of milk or taking calcium supplements cause hypercalcemia.
      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      nausea/vomiting, dry mouth, decreased blood pressure [hypermagnesemia]
