  • Description
      This medicine is a GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) antagonist.
      It inhibits secretion of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone by suppressing the action of GnRH in the pituitary gland, thereby reduces level of sex hormone such as estradiol and progesterone in the ovary.
      It is usually used to improve symptoms of menorrhagia, lower abdominal pain, low back pain and anemia, caused by uterine myoma.

  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine is a GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) antagonist.

  • Usage/Dosage
      In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (40 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day, before meal. The first dose is taken from first to fifth day of menstrual cycle. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding.
      If you are pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
      If you have a possibility of pregnancy, avoid pregnancy in a way other than taking hormone medicine while you are taking this medicine.
      Estrogen lowering effect of this medicine may reduce your bone mineral density. As a rule, the maximum duration of medication is 6 months. If you take this medicine for more than 6 months according to your doctor's decision, receive bone mineral density tests as far as possible. In such case, keep all appointments/laboratory test schedules.
      Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Seek advice of your pharmacy or medical institution about proper disposal of the unused medicines.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hot flush, abnormal uterine bleeding, menorrhagia, headache, excessive amount of sweat and genital bleeding. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      depressed mood, pessimistic, decline of thinking ability, insomnia, loss of appetite, general malaise [depressive state]
      easy fatigability, general malaise, weakness, nausea, loss of appetite [liver dysfunction]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
