  • Description
      This medicine inhibits activation of T-cell related with immunity to suppress abnormal immune reactions.
      It is usually used to treat Behcet's disease with symptoms in eye, non-infectious uveitis, psoriasis, aplastic anemia, pure red-cell aplasia, nephrotic syndrome, myasthenia gravis and atopic dermatitis.
  • Effect/Efficacy
      This medicine inhibits activation of T-cell related with immunity to suppress abnormal immune reactions.
      It is usually used to treat Behcet's disease with symptoms in eye, non-infectious uveitis, psoriasis, aplastic anemia, pure red-cell aplasia, nephrotic syndrome, myasthenia gravis and atopic dermatitis.
  • Usage/Dosage
      Behcet's disease, non-infectious uveigis of other causes: In general, take 2.5 mg of the active ingredient per 1 kg of body weight (mg/kg) at a time, 2 times a day. After that, the dosage will be gradually increased or decreased by 1 to 2 mg/kg a day, every additional month. The standard maintenance dosage is 3 to 5 mg/kg a day.
      Psoriasis: In general, take 2.5 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day. The dosage will be decreased by 1 mg/kg a day, every additional month, if the effect appears. The standard maintenance dosage is 3 mg/kg a day.
      Aplastic anemia, pure red cell aplasia: In general, take 3 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day.
      Frequently-relapsing nephrotic syndrome: In general, for adults, take 0.75 mg/kg of the active ingredient, for children, take 1.25 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day.
      Steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome: In general, for adults, take 1.5 mg/kg of the active ingredient, for children, take 2.5 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day.
      Systemic myasthenia gravis: In general, take 2.5 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day. The dosage will be decreased gradually, if the effect appears. The standard maintenance dosage is 3 mg/kg a day.
      Atopic dermatitis: In general, for adults, take 1.5 mg/kg of the active ingredient at a time, 2 times a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to symptoms of the patient. The maximum daily dose is 5 mg/kg.
      The dosage may be adjusted according to symptoms of the patient in any case. This preparation contains 10 mg of the active ingredient in a capsule. Strictly follow the instructions.
      If you miss a dose, take a dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
      If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
  • Cautions
      If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
      If you have liver/renal disorder or neuro-Behcet disease.
      If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
      If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)

      While taking this medicine, your natural immunity will be suppressed. To prevent infections, wash your hands often, gargle, and brush your teeth.
      Do not take grapefruit juice and this medicine together as the components of it may intensify the effect of this medicine. Do not intake foods containing St. John's wort as it may weaken the effect of this medicine.

      Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
      Discard the remainder. Do not store them. Ask the pharmacist or medical facility how to discard unneeded medicine.
      Consult with your doctor or pharmacist when you receive a vaccination.
  • Contraindication
      The most commonly reported adverse reactions include hirsutism, hypertension, heat sensation and alopecia. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
      The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
      decreased urine output, edema, general malaise [renal disorder]
      general malaise, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and the white of eyes [liver disorder, liver failure]
      general convulsion, consciousness disorder, confusion [reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, central nervous system disorder such as hypertensive encephalopathy]
      headache, fever, ataxia [neuro-Behcet disease symptom]
      fever, pharyngeal pain, cough [infection]
      The above symptoms do not describe all the adverse reactions to this medicine. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any symptoms of concern other than those listed above.
