Usually, this medicine is used to treat migraine. Only take when the migraine appeared, not to prevent it.

Usage/Dosage
-
In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (20mg of eletriptan) at a time when migraine pain occurs. If the effect of this medicine is insufficient, you can take additional 1 tablet (20mg) after an interval of more than 2 hours. Also, if the effect of 1 tablet (20mg) is insufficient, it can be increased up to 2 tablets (40mg) from next migraine attack. The maximum daily dose is up to 2 tablets (40mg). Strictly follow the instructions.
If this medicine has no effect, do not take further this medicine for headache attack. There is a possibility your headache is not a migraine. In such cases, please consult with your doctor again. It is necessary that you will get a definitive diagnosis about the cause of the headache.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.

Cautions

If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods. If you have: a history of myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease, variant angina (coronary spasm), a history of cerebrovascular accident/transient ischemic attack, peripheral vascular disorder, hypertension, hepatic dysfunction.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Since migraine itself or this medicine may cause drowsiness, avoid operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you dispose of unused medicines, seek advice of your pharmacist or healthcare provider about proper disposal of drugs.

Contraindication

The most commonly reported adverse reactions include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth and fatigue. If any of these symptoms occur, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
cold sweat, hives, respiratory distress[anaphylactic shock, anaphylaxis]
palpitation, chest pain, dizziness[arrhythmia]
chest pain/feeling of pressure/sense of constriction, cold sweat[ischemic heart disease symptoms including angina pectoris or myocardial infarction]
stiffness/tremor of muscle(general or local body), disturbance of consciousness, retrograde amnesia[epileptiform attack]
